About the Centre for Church Growth Research
The Centre for Church Growth Research (CCGR) is an academic research centre based at Cranmer Hall, the theological training college contained within Durham University’s St. John’s College.
The CCGR was formed in 2013. It draws together expertise and resource to produce academically rigorous and theologically informed research on church growth. Such research includes local and national studies within the UK, but also explores church growth worldwide. CCGR staff are regularly publishing research in journals and edited volumes – to explore CCGR’s recent work, see our Publications page.
The CCGR organises regular conferences on church growth and for details of the next conference, see the Conferences page. The CCGR additionally provides a variety of opportunities for research-based postgraduate study on the phenomenon of church growth; for more information, see the Postgraduate study page.
The CCGR has contributed to various research projects, including a major project for the Church of England, about which you can find out more at Church Growth Research Programme.
